Tis the season to get Married!

People get married for different reasons. SOme do it cos they're lonely and desperate, some so they can have sex for free and then, there are others who want a clean house.

Of course, there are a select few (like my fren below) who tie the knot for more legitimate reasons, for example, the L word, Love.

Love is a drug. You try it once, it gives you a high that makes you feel so good, you decide to go back for more. You give it a second go , and then soon enough, you realise you're hoooked. You can't live without him/her. ANd when that significant other goes away, the withdrawal symptoms set in so bad until sometimes you'd wished you'll never had it in the first place.

WHy do girls have diamonds as best frens but men have dogs as best frens?
If girls have diamonds as best frens, and guys give girls diamond rings when they propose, does it mean that a girl has to give a guy a dog if she wanted to propose?

People! You have an Engaged Fren!

hahaha....

I Guess that would be me :) heee.... Edward proposed when he brought me to Bintan for a weekend trip... heh, and yes, there is a diamond ring involved (although it is only .16 carat). Not wearing it now tho, coz that goon bought the ring in size 15 (note: Wanqing's left middle finger is a size 11) so it is still making its rounds at the jeweller's for alteration. I wanted to tell you gals in person on Sat at the outing, but couldn't make it in the end so decided to post it here first before it becomes stale news. *grinz*

Poor Ed tho - brought the ring home and the unanimous female response (ie. mother + second sis + third sis ) was "WAH how come diamond so small?????" Having the ever practical boyfriend (now fiance) does have its downside I guess... tsk tsk.

And I am starting work this Wed at OUB Building, exam and class of honours results coming out tomorrow *sheesh* So I am more available to meet up in town after work now! (ok this reasoning may sound warped on a certain level)

Chun - can't wait to see your photos!!! heh.... oh I loved Yellowstone - think it is even better than Yosemites. The time i went, there would be huge jams on the hillside roads at Yellowstone just coz there is some animal spotted along the slope.

Niagra Falls is a darling I agree!!! But I heard it is even more beautiful from the Canadian border. :) Pity I didn't get to see it from there.

Oh, and did you try Krispy Creme?????? Ed swears by the glazed dounuts they sell.... like the M&M commercials you know - melts in your mouth??? no?

hahaha... looking forward to our next outing! haven't clubbed in a long while man... starting to miss it.

yeah... you all take care in the meantime K?

Love ya lots!

Hey girls

I'm writing this in great fear cox this big ant-like insect (that we see on rainy days) is hovering under the lamp above me.

Anyway, I've just started work this week so I've been quite quiet around here. Okie...my sis's bf just saved me from the creepy flylie.

Work's good so far as I am still on training and going around departments to get an overview of the business. Lots of things to see and I'm really excited about going into the assignment proper. I'm quite inspired by the mgt there so far, not much bureacracy and lots of action....exciting...

Update you guys somemore... gotta go cox yet another giant antfly is here again... argh!

Tears

I disliked people who cry.
Hence I didn't like my crybaby sister.

Crying is for weak people,
People who can't win a fight otherwise.
Crying is a sign of weakness,
that's why boys don't cry.

As I grow older,
crying seems more complex than ever.

People cry when they are touched,
when they are scolded,
when they fall,
when it hurts.

People also cry during sad movies,
during farewells,
during weddings,
during sentimental occasions.

Maybe crying is just a way of releasing that tension,
the same one that threatens to drive you crazy.
But if so, why does the heart hurt so much,
As if it's breaking?

Is it also true that once you break the barrier of crying,
you will never be able to get back on the other side again?
Do you become stronger with this ability to experience life's other extreme,
or do you become weaker as you let your feelings show?

I find it hard to dislike crying now,
When I don't understand it very well,
When I find myself sniffing over a touching tale,
When I let my tears blur my eyes wantonly.

Romanticism

An exciting and mysterious quality (as of a heroic time or adventure).

Definition by dictionary.com

Or is it better defined by unexpected bouquets of flowers and millions of “I love you”s?
Or simply something that makes your heart go boom boom boom?

Hmm…it cannot be so clear cut. Otherwise, why would men still be baffled by what women want 90% of the time?

Most women want their share of romance and fairytale for their grandchildren. If you are not one by nature, you will become one of these after getting enough dosage of Hollywood movies or Sweet Valley novels. To see what I mean, just observe your mum’s expression whenever your dad comes up with a nice surprise or does something really sweet. Or see how her face drops when your dad dismisses your idea of a romantic escapade for the two of them.

I am a sucker for romance. I like its mysterious quality and its exciting tingle. I like the way it makes me feel special, unique and very loved. Not to mention how it makes one day different from all the days. So if I could buy romance in packets off the shelf, what would I choose?

My trolley

Surprise candlelight dinners
Personal attempts at whipping up that feast
Serenades
Slow dances
Stargazing

Your bouquets of flowers cox you know they make my day
Your appearances at the most unexpected moments cox you know I like surprises
Your letters and notes to me cox you know I like to receive them
Your bringing me to new places cox you know I like adventures
Your planning of special arrangements cox you know I like to be pampered.

Your doing of cross-stitches even if it’s a most girly thing to do
Your drawing of a card even if it looks like the craft of a kid
Your enrolling for dance lessons even if your right foot trips on the left everytime
Your running to buy me a pad even if it’s most embarrassing
Your speaking to me over the phone till I fall asleep even if I am dead drunk and can’t hear you
