1 min , Boon Lay - everyone gets ready by the door and once the train comes to a hail, door opens, GO! I saw an empty blue seat, oh lucky lucky... slotted myself into it and realized that I was sitting beside this not very handsome but cute looking young man ... anyway, someone else caught my attention... flawless skin, long straight dark hair, petite figure, slim legs, A-line skirt... woah pretty girl. She was struggling with 2 plastic bags (those you get from HDB grocery shop) , in them were thick text books ... obviously those were a quite taxing on her skinny arms and she had tried to balance them against a pillar while she coped with her balance. Huh ha... I tried not o make it so obvious that I was staring at her all this while, so I looked away, decided to fish out "Curious incident of the dog in the mid-night" from my bag, then I realized that the cute guy sitting next to me was totally engrossed in the pretty girl too.
"Should I give up my seat for her?" I think that's was on his mind... as he edged towards the brim of the chair... he tried to catch her eye but failed, guess she was too busy with the plastic bags. Feeling a bit embarrassed, (maybe) he sinked back into the seat and pretended to look somewhere else ...
Me, the witness to the whole incident, flipped to page 45, buried my face in the book and started giggling to myself!! I can't help but think how cowardly the guy was!! If I were a guy, that would be the perfect chance for me to pick up such a pretty girl! Is it just something to do with our Singaporean men or it's just too bad that the pretty girl was not an old lady ... then maybe things will be easier?!?!
